New Routers and Range Extenders continue Linksys’ local ascendanceLinksys boost its Wireless range, as the Belkin-owned company expands further.
The newbies include new AC Wi-Fi Modem Routers which start at $249 to $349 and three new wireless Range Extenders.
The NBN compatible Routers have ‘Smart Wi-Fi’ that lets users manage their network remotely.
Users can check the connection status of devices, block devices from Internet access or provide parental control for websites, create a password-protected guest network. The optional cloud platform enables remote access and mobile apps to manage your home WiFi network.
The Routers extend signal reach, and have simultaneous Dual Band speeds and wireless audio (on premium model).
AC1900 Modem Router – XAC1900-AU
The XAC1900 Linksys Smart Wi-Fi ADSL2+ Modem Router offers AC technology for smooth HD video and music streaming, high speed file transfers and wireless gaming.
Connect computers, Smart TVs, game consoles, and other Wi-Fi devices at transfer rates up to 600 + 1300 Mbps speed.
The AC1900 has double network bandwidth with Dual-Band AC (2.4 and 5 GHz) to avoid interference and maximise throughput. RRP is $349.95.

Range Extenders
The AC1200 Wi-Fi Range Extender (RE6500-AU) eliminates Wi-Fi dead spots throughout the home by increasing the wireless signal from an existing Wireless-AC router.
It also comes equipped with Cross-Band technology, which enables the Wi-Fi signal to simultaneously receive data on one band, and transmit on another. The three new range extenders works with any router or gateway including routers supplied by a service provider.
This router also has Single SSID Technology extends a router’s wireless network name (SSID), without creating a separate wireless network. It has four Gigabit Ethernet ports to hook up devices like computers or stereo systems. RRP is $149.95.
