The application, Cricket LIVE Summer 2009/2010, is officially endorsed by Cricket Australia and is available for $1.19 via the Apple iPhone App Store. Vodafone or 3 Mobile customers can also enjoy LIVE Cricket TV action streamed to their iPhone by paying $2.49 for a day pass. Non-iPhone users can still access the original Mobile Cricket TV via their handset’s web browser for $2 per day or $8 per month.
According to VHA, the Cricket LIVE Summer App gives cricket fans access to: LIVE Cricket TV; scores for every match; ball-by-ball text commentary; Facebook, Twitter, and email in-app sharing; match schedules and reminders; cricket news; cricket video packages; push notifications on the fall of wickets; and full player stats.
Head of Mobile Internet and Portable Services Kate Pepper said that fans can now view cricket on the go with the new iPhone application.
“With the new iPhone application and Cricket TV, Vodafone and 3 Mobile have realised every Australian cricket tragic’s dream. The iPhone application brings a new level of ease and simplicity to viewing cricket on the go, but those without an Apple in their pocket can stay up to date with the new revamped Cricket TV via Planet 3 and, for the first time, Vodafone Live,” says Pepper.
