Livescribe has released a new application for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch that allows a user to access a digital copy of their synchronised notes and audio at any time.

The Pencast Player app lets anyone access pencasts posted on Livescribe’s online community, regardless of whether they have a smartpen or MyLivescribe account. According to the company, registered customers with a MyLivescribe account can also access from their Apple device any pencasts uploaded to their 500 MB of personal storage.
Livescribe’s Chief Marketing Officer, Byron Connell said that the Pencast Player lets consumers access their written and spoken information on their favourite Apple product.
Pencast Player is available immediately, free-of-charge, in the iTunes store.
The application works with all iPad devices with iOS 3.2 or higher and all iPhone and iTouch devices with iOS 4.0 or higher and requires iTunes 9.2 or higher.
