George Saad Managing Director of Logitech Australia said that he was confident that Logitech would continue to grow, however he warned retailers that more needs to be done at an education and training level and that some retailers need to seriously think about the way that they “engage” with customers.
“We are launching 50 new products including new gaming console accessories such as wireless mikes and drum kits as well as new premium gaming and accessory products. We will have new Ultimate Ears headphones including the new UE 700”.
The UE700 earphones are custom-tuned to deliver highly accurate sound reproduction in a compact design – each earphone is smaller than a 5 cent coin.
Saad said that the UE700’s deliver “the kind of audio quality used by 75 per cent of the world’s touring professional artists – including acclaimed rock bands The Killers, Green Day and Fall Out Boy.” He also confirmed that a lot of the UE products are on back order and that the range is proving very popular in Australia despite its premium pricing” he said.
“Consumers are staying home but in doing that they are going out and buying notebooks, gaming consoles and with these devices they want a better experience which is where we come in. They are also prepared to invest in premium products. However retailers need to learn how to sell these premium products as a result we are investing heavily in retailer training”.
