An audio breakthrough that adds exciting surround sound capabilities to home theatre systems, wirelessly, and requires no drilling and no mounting, has been released by Polk Audio, the largest audio brand of DEI Holdings Inc.
Distributed in Australia by International Dynamics, the F/X Wireless Surround is re-defining home theatres around the country, bringing plug and play surround sound to systems effortlessly.
All from a single component with no speaker wires and giving extroadinary placement flexibility on the floor, table or shelf, the F/X Wireless Sound is a single footprint speaker system comprising four 2.5 full range drivers and a 5.25 woofer, powered by a compact multichannel DSP amplifier.
A small transceiver included with the system connects the A/V receiver’s surround channels to the F/X Wireless Surround without any cables.
Polk also recently developed its Controlled Dispersion Array (DA) technology, which allows the Wireless Surround to create a convincing discrete left, right, rear and back surround stage, emanating from behind and to the sides of the listener.
According to International Dynamics, the F/X Wireless Surround, which uses Polk’s digital logic technology to solve problems associated with the convenience of wireless operation and simple placement on the floor, table or shelf is currently one of the most sought after products from the company’s range.
The system reproduces 5.1 and 7.1 surround program material, and features a 3-position DSP control optimising the image height for floor, table and shelf applications.
The F/X Wireless Surround is finished in Black and is available from this month from International Dynamics Australia, at an RRP of $799.
