As Toshiba gets set to take on Apple the iPad maker has moved to ramp up their Mac range with new Intel processors.
Come June Apple is expected to roll out a new Mac with the all new ‘Haswell’ processors. The models are set to be shown at Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference in May.
Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, whose track record is better than most, said that Apple is also expected to showcase the next version of Mac OS X.
According to Kuo, there’ll be no major design overhauls aside from the inclusion of Intel’s new processors, while the optical drive is also set to remain within the standard non-Retina Display MacBook Pro line.
Last year the company launched 13 and 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display models, but ditched the optical drive to save space.
Toshiba will also have access to the new processors with the Japanese Company tipped to announce new Kira models running the new Intel offering soon.
