Would you want boiling coffee inside your high-end gaming PC? Well, Nerdforge’s Martina has created a project that combines the two, a custom-built PC that makes coffee with the push of a button.
Nerdforge is a YouTube channel run by a Norwegian couple, Martina and Hansi. The idea started as a question: What if we didn’t have to get up to make a cup of coffee?
A large part of the project relied on getting the PC to run, and the coffee machine to work. The two created a new way of grinding the coffee beans and preparing the coffee, which involved 3D printing custom-made parts.
Once this coffee maker and grinder were designed and placed inside a Corsair 1000D chassis, it was connected to an Arduino for a one-button control.
A visual progress bar was added, as well as essential sensors to make sure the coffee wouldn’t begin brewing if a cup had not been placed in the holder.

Once it was up and running, the aesthetics became the next step. It was decked out with stained wood, inside and out, and LED lights. There’s also a little plant as well.
The components include the Intel Core i7-14700K processor and a NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti.
For the coffee machine to be functional, the front of the PC case had to remain open. However, cooling became a necessity as the machine deals with boiling water.
The PC is air-cooled and the exhaust and intake fans have been set up to ensure the heat stays away from the components.
Since this has only just been created, it won’t be on the market for a while, if ever.
But there is another radical coffee machine that you can soon purchase, and this one is from Loewe, a TV brand.
ChannelNews recently reported that this machine not only warms the mug, but heats water in eight seconds, and comes with an enclosed bean grinder on the top of the machine.
The news of this machine came just one day after ChannelNews reported Whirlpool would also be releasing a range of coffee machines, set to retail from $1,800 to over $3,500.
