Japanese audio brand Marantz has announced its voice-controlled M-CR612 high-res mini receiver will hit Australian stores this July.
The company said the compact network receiver is aimed at customers chasing the “the beautiful soundstage and imaging typical of Marantz components” without sacrificing on space.
Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant are all available for voice control, and users can switch between them or pick a favourite.
The M-CR612 also has an in-built CD player, AM/FM tuner, two digital inputs, and can stream through Airplay 2, Bluetooth and the HEOS app.
The receiver can power two speakers at 6 ohms up to 60 watts per channel, but also supports a 4 channel by 30 watts set-up as well as bi-amping.
The in-built DAC is good up to 24-bit/192kHz and is capable of decoding DSD tracks as well.
The M-CR612 will be available in July in the typical Marantz finishes of black and silver, priced at $1,320.
