The Metz Axio pro promises full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), comes with an integrated HDTV reception for high-definition viewing, and utilises 100Hz and mecavisionHD+ technology.
The audio module promises spacious sound and clear voice output. The high-quality sound can be enjoyed either via the integrated Axio audio system or headphones. It is equipped with an intelligent interface with which the television can be connected to the high-quality Metz Sound System so the viewer can experience top-quality surround sound.
The Axio pro models also offer a timeshift function. With one touch of a button on the Metz remote control, an ongoing program can be interrupted or the last scene can be viewed again at any time.
If retrofitted with a twin tuner, the viewer can pause the ongoing program and watch a show on another channel at the same time. Later, the user can return to the point at which the show was paused and continue watching. Thanks to integrated USB memory, the new models allow for interruptions of 130-180 minutes in SDTV quality, or 70-120 minutes in HDTV quality.
If longer archiving periods or the permanent saving of TV contents is desired, an integrated digital recorder can easily be retrofitted thanks to the modular design of a Metz television.
The new Axio pro models come equipped with three HDMI ports, a DVI-I interface, YUV input sockets, and three EURO/AV sockets can be used to connect audio and video sources.
Metz LCD televisions are only available through authorised specialist dealers, with the following RRP:
Axio Pro 32-inch: $2999
Axio Pro 37-inch: $3499
Axio Pro 42-inch (Available June 2010): $3999
