Michael Kors Revamp Sofie Smartwatch

Fossil’s Michael Kors label have given their Sofie smartwatch a major makeover with the unveiling of the Sofie 2.0.

The previous iteration did not offer much past its sparkly exterior, but now Michael Kors has given the inner workings a major revamp with heart rate monitoring, NFC payments, GPS tracking all powered by the latest version of Wear OS.

The fashion brand will provide four stylish new designs in silver, gold, pink and pink/silver shades with sparkly watch faces and additional buttons to operate the new Wear OS features easily.

Michael Kors’ new wearable will operate the old Snapdragon Wear 2100 and meaning it does not offer enhanced ambient mode and the improved battery life of the latest technology.

Additionally, this smartwatch remains a fashion item, it isn’t a smartwatch that you’d wear to the gym, it is more suitable for a social event or function and everyday wear — depending on your personal style.

The watch will be available mid-year, no pricing has been released.

As the original Michael Kors Sofie watches launched in Australia at $579 in 2017, the 2.0 version is likely to similarly priced.
