Microsoft who has made big gains in the gaming console market after dropping the price of their consoles has announced US pricing for their new 4GB Xbox 360 which will come bundled with their new Kinect gaming device and the “Kinect Adventures” game.
In the US the bundle is being sold at Best Buy for $299.99 which is A$339. In Australia Microsoft unlike Sony has kept their pricing on par with US pricing with observers tipping a $399 bundle price in Australia.
The company also released pricing for individual items in the USA. The 4GB 360 will retail for $199.99 beginning August 3, while the Kinect will go for $299.99, along with the “Kinect Adventures” game. The Kinect is expected to arrive in the fall, but no release date has been announced.
“Kinect for Xbox 360 offers tremendous entertainment value for the whole family,” Dennis Durkin, Xbox 360 chief operating officer, said as part of the announcement. “With full body, voice and the ability to play games with your friends right out of the box, Kinect is the most unique, complete and affordable way for everyone to enjoy controller-free fun and entertainment.”
