According to a report in macdailynews.com, at the exact moment famous Chinese gymnast Li Ning was rounding the lip of the Bird’s Nest during the amazing torch-lighting climax at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, the Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) appeared amongst the Nest’s steel twigs.

Making matters worse, reports suggest that recently retired Microsoft supremo Bill Gates was in the opening ceremony audience at the time the BSOD made its unwelcome and untimely appearance during the festivities.
The festivities were being controlled by IT systems running Windows XP and it seems, all was running smoothly until the BSOD popped up.
So unlike the Microsoft servers, it seems Bill Gates has a much better sense of timing, as at least now that he has retired, the plethora of Microsoft jokes will be not squarely aimed at him.
