Miele has launched its first Australian showroom in the Melbourne suburb of Knoxfield, dubbed the Miele Gallery, which is designed to showcase its range of domestic and commercial products.
The store is a first for Miele, with the aim being to present its high-end range in a lifestyle setting. Rather than the products just being on show, the manufacturer has adopted an innovative approach to integrating them into entire concepts.
One of the key features is a revolving display of laundry and floorcare products, while a live kitchen offers free cooking classes using Miele appliances. There are also plans in place to run demonstrations featuring celebrity chefs.
The company has also focused on the design of the space, using art pieces to compliment the high-end products. The showroom’s interior was designed by architect Robert Blair of RBi Architecture.
“The Miele Gallery serves to inspire customers as the view the latest and most comprehensive ranges of our prestigious appliances,” says managing director Michael Jeanes.
The showroom will be the first of a number of such spaces planned in key locations around the country, Jeanes says.
