Miele says that since the launch of this initiative five months ago, more than 300 building and design professionals have already signed up for access to the Miele BIM files. The BIM website presents a library of architectural 3D models of Miele’s product range for use in architectural drawings, renders and fly-throughs.

The online library enables a user to simply download a 3D model of each selected Miele appliance and render photo-realistic fly-throughs for virtual installation in various formats.  These include Autodesk Revit Architecture, AutoCAD Architecture, Autodesk 3ds Max and other 3D software which, in turn, can be imported into other software such as Graphisoft ArchiCAD, Nemetschek Vectorworks, Google SketchUp, DataCAD and Bentley MicroStation.

To accompany each product’s BIM file, a PDF document containing a 3D render, product features, installation drawings and technical data can be downloaded to provide a comprehensive overview of all the necessary information required for planning purposes.

Miele has promised to continue to update the website with new product innovations as they become available throughout the year.
