A Mitsubishi factory, which manufactured guided missiles, rocket engines, submarines, and nuclear-power equipment, has had its computer network hacked.Reuters report the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Factory in Tokyo has had its computer system hacked, in the first attack targeting Japan’s defence industry.

A Mitsubishi Heavy spokesperson confirmed the attack, while the local Japanese newspaper, The Yomiuri, said information from Mitsubishi’s computer system was leaked.
The report also said roughly 80 computers were found infected with viruses at MHI’s headquarters and its research and development sites. These included Kobe Shipyard and Machinery Works, which makes parts for nuclear power stations and submarines, and the Nagoya plant, which makes guided missiles and rocket engines.
