Mitsubishi Electric has announced a new 508 and 560-litre fridge that comes with new space storage options as well as a unique anti-bacteria food liner to keep food fresh.

The new models also come with a flexible glass shelf that can be folded back in half, or extended to provide two full glass tiers. All the refrigerator’s tempered glass shelves are built to support up to 101 kilograms of weight.
The MR-508U and MR-560U’s unique anti-bacteria food liner offers anti-bacteria protection. Bacterial growth is also inhibited by the refrigerators’ cooling system that uses Negative Ion technology to surround the food items and preserve the nutrients and freshness of the food.
Mitsubishi Electric Living Environment Group’s Director, Tony Hirst said, “Our customers have asked us to reintroduce a large family size refrigerator, our response was designing a range that offered over 500 litres of storage capacity.”
Another feature of the MR508U and MR560U fridges are their crystal clear ice function which makes the ice clear throughout. It also sports a slim handle design that runs along the entire length of the fridge door meaning you can easily open it from any height.
Both models come with the Mitsubishi Electric five year parts, labour and compressor warranty.

– The option of a white or stainless steel finish

Mitsubishi Electric MR-508U and MR-560U home refrigerators are available now with an RRP of $1479 (White) / $1785 (Stainless Steel) for the MR-508U and $1683 (White) / $1933 (Stainless Steel) for the MR-560U.
