SYDNEY – A majority of mobile operators, including Vodafone, Optus and Telstra, are now offering their customers 1800 mobile calls free of charge, according to the Australian Communications and Media Authority.ACMA, however, said that a small number of mobile
providers have yet to implement the system for their customers.
“ACMA will continue to work with Communications Alliance and ACCAN to encourage
these providers to implement free-of-charge mobile calls in a timely manner,”
the authority said.
