TomTom has released a summer map that includes latest Whereis map data and improvements such as road speed limits, lane guidance and rural road upgrade.TomTom Australia’s Marketing Manager, Chris Kearney, said, “The release of the TomTom Summer Map confirms our commitment to consistently providing the most up-to-date maps available to TomTom GPS users. The significant improvements to rural road coverage, road speed information, address range and an update of POIs will deliver fantastic navigating benefits to TomTom’s Australian users.”
The new map includes tens of thousands of anonymous GPS measurements that originated from TomTom’s global community of drivers through TomTom IQ Routes. It also comes with road speed limits for most metropolitan roads, major road networks and interconnecting roads across Australia, increased lane guidance coverage on major roads in the metropolitan areas, and covers over 1,000,000 kilometres of roads.
TomTom’s Latest Map Guarantee ensures that if TomTom makes a newer Australian map available within 30 days of a customer first using their TomTom GPS, the newer map will be made available via download at no extra charge.
