The latest oscillating micro furnace heater from Sunbeam uses the same technology originally developed for the NASA space shuttle, the company says.
The new 2400W Micro Furnace heater claims to be one of the most efficient portable heaters, utilising patented ceramic disc heating technology and a honeycomb design for greater surface area. Sunbeam says the result is a superior heat transfer that produces air up to 40 percent warmer than conventional coil or fin-type ceramic heaters.
To maintain a consistent temperature, the heater’s temperature controls detect any temperature change in the room and vary the heat output accordingly.
The heater also features an external temperature sensor promising accurate temperature control, an LCD display and seven heat settings. In terms of safety, the heater has instant tip over cut-off and Sunbeam’s ‘Total Safety System’ overheat protection.
