Netgear has launched five new Wireless-N products that promise to deliver fast download/upload speeds and wider range for easy connection throughout the home.
The new range include the RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router (WNDR3300), RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router (WNR3500), 5 GHz Wireless-N HD Access Point/Bridge (WNHDE111), HD/Gaming 5 GHz Wireless-N Networking Kit (WNHDEB111), and RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N USB Adapter (WNDA3100).
According to Netgear, all its Wireless-N products have incorporated multiple internal antenna arrays based on revolutionary metamaterials technology. Based on patented antenna structures, but using conventional and inexpensive manufacturing techniques, the metamaterial antenna array places multiple antennas in close proximity, directing signal energies to targeted wireless devices while avoiding any signal collision or interference with each other. The unique ability to have antennas placed close together enables Netgear to incorporate six to eight internal antennas in a compact design to deliver superior coverage, throughput and stable connections.
Equipped with the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) feature, the Netgear products makes it fast and easy to connect clients to the home network by pushing the “Push ‘N’ Connect” button. Advanced Quality of Service (QoS) ensures lag-free gaming, jitter-free streaming of high-definition video, and delivers clear, reliable Voiceover-IP phone calls. To ensure the best-possible experience for users who access movies, music, TV shows, games and software through their BitTorrent subscriptions, Netgear’s new Wireless-N product family is currently undergoing BitTorrent Device Certification.
Netgear’s Vice President of Product Marketing, Vivek Pathela said, “The home network is no longer focused on simply providing Internet connectivity for e-mail, instant messaging and web browsing. Today’s consumers are leveraging the network to support a growing variety of bandwidth-intensive applications such as HD video streaming, Internet telephony and real-time online gaming, in addition to those traditional applications.”
The Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router (WNDR3300) comes with an integrated array of eight internal antennas and support for 5 GHz Wireless-N, which takes advantage of up to 23 non-overlapping channels and enables the RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router to avoid interference from other electrical products. The WNDR3300 features automatic QoS to prioritise network traffic and features a built-in fourport 10/100 Mbps LAN switch for connecting multiple PCs or devices. The WNDR3300 also provides a simple “Push ‘N’ Connect” function that uses WPS to enable simple, secure client connectivity.
The Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router (WNDR3300) is backed by a one-year warranty and 24/7 technical support, and is available for $299.
The NETGEAR RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router (WNR3500) incorporates an ultra-fast fiveport 10/100/1000 Mbps switch (one Gigabit Ethernet WAN and four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports), to deliver the fastest possible wireless-to-wired network performance, and an array of eight internal Antennas to reduce the effects of RF interference. The unit comes with Automatic Quality of Service (QoS) that ensures reliable support for Internet, voice, video, and gaming applications, has a Smart Wizard Installation CD to make it simple to establish secure, reliable client connections with “Push ‘N’ Connect” using Wi-Fi Protected Set-up (WPS). The WNR3500 also provides a double firewall to protect the network from external attacks, and automatically upgrades itself to the latest firmware version and is configurable as a wireless repeater for use as a range extender.
The NETGEAR RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router (WNR3500) is backed by a one-year warranty, 24/7 technical support, and is available for $349.

The NETGEAR 5GHz Wireless-N HD Access Point/Bridge (WNHDE111) can be used as a standalone bridge or can function as a 5 GHz Wireless-N access point when connected to an existing router or gateway. When wired to any existing 802.11b/g wireless router, the WNHDE111 adds high performance 5GHz Wireless-N access point capability to establish a dual-band network that supports new dual-band Wireless-N clients as well as legacy 802.11b/g clients.
The WNHDE111 can also act as a bridge to connect game consoles or media receivers such as the NETGEAR Digital Entertainer HD to a dual-band Wireless-N router like the RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router (WNDR3300).
The two WNHDE111 units are plug-and-play, auto-configure when connected, automatically discover each other and connect securely, ready to stream high quality HD Video and play high performance online games. The WNHDE111 supports a wireless “ad-hoc” mode for wireless LAN peer-to-peer gaming, and multicast point-to-multi-point high-definition video streaming.
The NETGEAR 5 GHz Wireless-N HD Access Point/Bridge (WNHDE111) and HD/Gaming 5 GHz Wireless-N Networking Kit (WNHDEB111) are backed by a one-year warranty and 24/7 technical support, and are available for $199 and $349, respectively.
The RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N USB 2.0 Adapter (WNDA3100) enables users to upgrade their notebook or desktop PCs to dual-band Wireless-N delivering more wireless channels, less interference and better connections. Backward compatible with older 802.11g equipment, the WNDA3100 provides enough bandwidth to support music downloads, file sharing, and high definition multimedia applications.
Also utilising patented metamaterial micro-antennas to provide better speed and range than other 802.11n adapters, the WNDA3100 provides reliable connectivity to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wireless N channels.
The NETGEAR RangeMax Wireless-N Dual Band USB Adapter (WNDA3100) is backed by a one year warranty and 24/7 technical support, and is available for $149.
