NETGEAR has announced the latest member to its Nighthawk family, the X6 Tri-Brand WiFi Mesh Extender that extends WiFi by 18.5m and integrates Smart Roaming and FastLane 3 Technology. Available November for $299.
Nighthawk X6, like the other Nighthawk Mesh extenders, uses a dedicated WiFi link providing a continuous flow of data between the primary router and the extender.
FastLane3 Technology with Tri-band WiFi enables the Nighthawk X6 to provide a dedicated connection to an existing WiFi router or modem router.
As well as increasing range, the X6 has a dedicated 866Mbps 5GHz band for extending Internet speeds to all of your connected devices with a push of a button so users can stream, game, and connect online with greater ease and flexibility.
It is the first extender from NETGEAR with Secure Boot, which ensures only NETGEAR software can run on the device, preventing tampering.
The four high-performance internal antennas extend WiFi to your smartphone, tablets and smart home devices, while its powerful quad-core processor boosts performance for lag-free gaming and better 4K streaming.
Its two Gigabit Ethernet ports allow you to connect wired devices like game consoles, smart TVs and streaming players to your WiFi network.
NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 Tri-Band WiFi Mesh Extender (EX7700) will be available for purchase in November, at $299.
