Confirming previous rumours, yesterday’s Apple WWDC left many consumers disappointed, with the Californian giant unveiling a flurry of software upgrades, in lieu of new hardware.
Commentators initially expected Apple to debut an affordable new HomePod smart speaker plus updated MacBooks and iPads.
Instead, the only new ‘hardware’ concerned iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands.
Whilst a large focus of WWDC involved the new iOS 12, Apple quietly released some new physical products as noticed by AppleInsider.
- New iPhone cases and Apple Watch straps in ‘summer 2018’ colours – marine green, sky blue and peach
- Silicone iPhone cases for iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 7 Plus
- Matching Apple Watch Sports Bands in 42mm or 38mm sizes – including rainbow coloured ‘Pride Edition’
Australian pricing and availability is yet to be officially confirmed.
