Baumann Meyer has added two new HD-ready models to its range: the 26-inch DT2620 ($1899) and 32inch DT3220 ($2599).
Baumann Meyer claims the sets offering HD-ready widescreen (1366 x 768) resolution to meet today’s 720p and 1080i HDTV standards. A 1000:1 contrast ratio is claimed.
Baumann Meyer says these specifications translate into image clarity and colour accuracy that sets a new benchmark in LCD TV picture quality. “Perfect image quality is ultimately dependent on the video processor employed, which is where Baumann Meyer’s 12 years of experience in developing drive systems for LCD technology truly shines,” it says.
The DT2620 and DT3220 both employ Baumann Meyer’s latest QIA (Quantum Interpolation Algorithm) processor that is claimed to virtually eliminate noise by adjusting the blending angle of the moving image, as opposed to crossing it. “As a result, the smoothest most natural images are preserved,” says Baumann Meyer.
The European-styled sets embody Baumann Meyer’s adage that “limited space no longer means limited screen size”. Both models are said to minimize use of space and simultaneously offer maximum viewing area.
Both models include stereo speaker enclosures with separate tweeter, woofer and passive radiator which are controlled by a full graphic equaliser that allows tailoring of sound to suit a room and personal listening requirements.
The DT2620 and DT3220 have on-board analogue TV tuners and are compatible with video sources including High Definition and Standard Definition digital TV. Integration of video sources is facilitated by a wide range of multimedia interfaces including 2 x Component, 2 x SCART, 1 x DVI, 1 x S-Video, 1 x Composite and a PC input.
Features include Teletext, Digital Action Freeze Frame, Picture-in-Picture and Sleep Timer. Both models have a removable central tabletop stand and easily wall mount using a standard 100 mm x 200 mm VESA mount. Both are warranted for two years.
“I believe Baumann Meyer offer a distinctive blend of European styling and Eastern technological innovation that translates to a perfectly rounded high quality LCD Television range,” says Baumann Meyer’s Managing Director, Malcolm Middleton.
