The Mozilla Foundation has released a new beta version of Firefox 4
Beta 8 has seen the fix of 1,415 bugfixes found in Beta 7, a better add-ons manager and improved WebGL support.
The Inquirer said that Mozzarella is likely to put out at least two more beta versions before Firefox 4 is at a final release version.
According to the release notes, Firefox Sync is now simplified and easier to set up. To sync web browser data with another computer you will have to use three codes to be provided by a new Firefox device, which will also need to be entered on a Firefox device that is already synced.
Other updates include a much sleeker add-ons manager as well as expanded and accelerated WebGL support that highlights the future game and animation capabilities that will be in Fireferret.
Mozilla is now asking users to try out the Firefox 4 Beta. We had a look at it this morning and at first glance it appears to be a more polished competitor to Google’s Chrome web browser the Inquirer said.
