Research In Motion is getting set to launch a new Blackberry operating system and a new smartphone in an effort to resurrect their struggling brand.Recently the local subsidiary appointed a new CEO after Adele Beachley the former CEO left the Company. Prior to her departure a former RIM Marketing Manager accused her of “harassment”.
Insiders claim that the new BlackBerry 10 operating system will go on sale in October along with a new smartphone.
The launch of the new device is expected in August 2012.
Earlier this year, new RIM CEO Thorsten Heins pledged to launch the initial device(s) in the “later half of 2012,” but the company is yet to be drawn on an official release date.
