Boston Acoustics’ Voyager outdoor wall-mount speaker range has been expanded to include the new Rock Series speakers. As the name suggests, these are speakers designed to complement your yard by looking like natural rock formations.
The speakers are also specially voiced for open-air environments, the company says, and are available in granite, sandstone or river rock designs, that will withstand the harshest weather conditions.
The new range includes three core models: the Voyager RK5 (5-inch bass unit), Voyager RK6T2 (6.5-inch bass unit) and Voyager RK8T2 (8-inch bass unit).
Key to the speakers’ quality audio performance, the company says, is the mica-filled woofers with a butyl rubber surround as well as the custom-stepped basket and dual Kortec dome tweeters for stereo sound on the 6.5-inch and 8- inch models.
All models also feature a recessed weatherproof cavity on the base where all connections are made. The cavity can also house an optional 70/100 Volt Transformer for use in light commercial installations such as restaurants and bars or in full commercial applications such as theme parks and large retail spaces using constant voltage to drive multiple speakers, the company says.
