Cisco is set to launch a brand new Flip camera with a large LCD screen and 16GB of storage. The new device will replace the current model that is struggling to attract sales in retail stores.
The new Flip Slide HD delivers four hours of recording, as opposed to just one by the current model. It also lets users preview a video on a larger screen than past models.

Copying the design of a phone slider, the Flip Slide HD would have the familiar small LCD and basic recording controls but an angled slide-out view with a second, larger screen to watch videos, much like a portable DVD player. Superficially, the body should resemble the Flip Mino HD rather than the bulkier Ultra line.
The Slide is still expected to record at just 720p versus the 1080p of some of its rivals, but it would have 16GB of built-in storage.
According to ChannelNews sources, the Flip Slide HD is on the verge of being launched around the world, including in Australia, and will be available immediately when it’s revealed.
