LONDON: International news agency Reuters says it has seen documents that prove China’s Huawei Technologies, violated American trade sanctions on Iran.
Reuters said internal company records from 2010 show Huawei was directly involved in sending prohibited US computer equipment to Iran’s largest mobile-phone operator.
Two Huawei packing lists, dated December 2010, included computer equipment made by Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft, and destined for Iran.
Huawei’s CFO, Meng Wanzhou, pictured, is currently fighting extradition from Canada to the US where she would face charges involving bank fraud, wire fraud and other allegations.
