Epson claims that its new V600 scanner can restore positive and negative film, photos, and documents.

For efficient and flexible film scanning, the Perfection V600 Photo has a fully integrated transparency unit (TPU) and film holder for a wide variety of film formats, including 12 frames of 35mm filmstrip, 4 frames of 35mm mounted slides and medium format up to 6 x 22cms.
The Perfection V600 Photo is also equipped with Digital ICE technology that uses both hardware and software during the scanning process to detect and remove dust and scratch marks on both film and photo scans.
The Epson Scan software can be used either as a TWAIN driver within programs such as Adobe Photoshop, or as a full functional standalone program, delivering scanning and photo features. It also has four pre-set modes – Full Auto, Home, Office and Professional – to meet the needs of any user.
The Perfection V600 Photo comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 and ABBYY Fine Reader Sprint and is compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional/ XP Home edition/ XP Professional/ XP Professional x64 Edition/ Vista (pre-installed model), and Mac OS 10.2.8 or later.
