Logitech who have had a lot of success with their Harmony remotes in Australia are now set to expand the range with the launch of two new low cost models that will replace five current models.
The Harmony 600 and Harmony 650 remotes are each designed to replace up to five other remotes, and both feature one-click activity buttons with the Harmony 650 also incorporating a colour screen that displays channel icons.
The 600 model (pricing not yet avaiable) has a monochrome backlit screen that displays power and volume commands, while the 650 has a colour screen that displays channel icons as well as commands.
To set up the remotes, users go to www.logitech.com/myharmony to download software, eliminating the need to program codes, the company said. More than 250,000 devices from more than 5,000 brands are reportedly supported.
“From Betamax to Blu-ray, you can be sure the Logitech Harmony remote can control virtually any IR home-electronic device,” the company said.
Both are remotes are scheduled to be available this month.
