Games such as Tomb Raider, MTV Pimp My Ride and Tony Hawk project 8 are now available for your mobile phone via a new subscription service with Dada.net.
Thanks to a new Aussie distribution agreement with Selatra, Dada.net is now offering Miami Vice, Championship Manager, HitMan Blood Money and Ronnie O’Sullivan Snooker 07 as well as the games mentioned above to its online subscribers.
Subscribers in Australia can download two of these titles plus unlimited other content (such as ringtones and wallpapers) for $10 a week from the website.
The company cites Frost and Sullivan figures from 2006 finding the mobile gaming market was worth $25-30 million in Australia, with content set to drive an expected A$10 million revenue growth in 2007 as reasons for entering this space now. Australians are also currently downloading more games than music to their mobile devices, the company says.
