Custom installers who are being called in to install a multitude of TV technologies including 3D and HD TV as well as plasma, LED and LCD now have access to a brand new Home Theatre Design Guide to accurately calculate screen size and design systems for video devices.
Developed by CEDIA and the Consumer Electronics Association the guide allows installers to precisely measure screen size and design systems, maximising the home theater viewing experience for consumers claims the CEA.
“CEA believes that with increased consumer adoption of HD and 3DTV, accurate home theater design parameters are essential to provide consumers with a high-quality viewing experience,” says Brian Markwalter, vice president of research and standards for CEA.
“This new bulletin provides valuable guidelines to manufacturers and the ESC industry, ultimately leading to maximum performance in home theater design for consumers.”
“CEB 23 is a recommended guideline that will enable the ESC community to design a high-performance home theater through accurate measurement of screen size and systems design,” says Dave Pedigo, CEDIA senior director of technology. “This bulletin, in addition to future documents CEA and CEDIA are working to create, provides information to assist ESCs in preparing for certification exams and will help to further advancement in home theater design.”
