HTC is set to launch a new Desire S on the Vodafone network in Australia. Released at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona the new model has less buttons and a front-facing and 5-megapixel back-facing camera (with 720p video capture).Running on Android Gingerbread 2.4 it has a 3.7-inch WVGA display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor. No pricing has been released. Retaining the unibody aluminum design HTC has not said whether they managed to improve the battery life of the new model.

A new high-end HTC Incredible S incorporates a 4-inch WVGA Super LCD display and stereo surround sound to highlight its multimedia-capability. It also has a 8-megapixel camera comes with dual flash, and there’s a front-facing camera on board as well for video chats. DLNA support allows the device to be connected to a TV.

HTC said that the Desire S is sculpted out of a single block of aluminum making it feel solid and natural in your hand.
The HTC entry-level Wildfire S has also been introduced, it is one of HTC’s smallest smartphones and centers on a 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen upgraded from QVGA previously. It has a decent five-megapixel camera with auto-focus and also comes pre-installed with Android 2.4.
