HTC who will this week unleash the Incredible S is set to be a world phone with both CDMA and GSM connectivity however it will not have the Gingerbread version of Android despite Samsung launching their Galaxy S II with Gingerbread in early May.HTC said that the new device is ideal for video connectivity due to a new 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. It also has an 8 megapixel rear camera.
A 16GB microSD card will come as standard with the device which has already been launched in several other countries. In the USA HTC is already moving on to the Incredible 2.
Standard with this phone is a four inch 480×800-pixel display screen which is between the Desire and Desire HD screen.
It only has Android 2.2 Froyo and will struggle up against the new Samsung Galaxy S II which will be launched with the Gingerbread version of Android.
HTC said they will offer an upgrade to Gingerbread but have not explained why it cannot be launched in Australia with Gingerbread.
The Incredible S will also have the HTC Sense UI which makes a big difference to Android’s usability.
The phone has a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 768MB of RAM.
