Expected to be hitting Australian shores in mid-September, the HTC Evo 3D is differentiated from the plethora of multimedia rivals with its dual-5 megapixel camera and its qHD 4.3 inch screen.
The dual cameras help record high quality 3D 720p videos at 30 frames per second, which can then be played back on the device through its glasses-free (540 x 960) 3D display.
HTC’s Country Manager believes the Evo 3D is an example of the company’s innovative approach to mobile technology, saying “the HTC EVO 3D is a device that reflects how HTC is pushing the limits of innovation, bringing the best technology and more choice to our Australian customers.”
The Evo 3D is to come with a complete arsenal of heavy weight features, including a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 1GHz of RAM, A-GPS and dual microphones for noise suppression to name just a few.
After the company released its at-the-time market leading Desire HD, which suffered from limp battery life, HTC have given the serious hardware housed in the EVO 3D an enormous 1730mAh Li-Ion battery to match.
These features are all managed through the latest 2.3.4 version of Android software, featuring HTC’s custom Sense interface.
HTC believe the Evo 3D will be made available mid-September 2011, with carriers expected to announce pricing in the coming weeks.
