Apple has used the OZ market to roll out their new 2.0 App store overhaul, overseas stores are set to go live Sunday.
A visit to an Australian store shows that all the paper price sheets have been replaced with iPads sheltered in plexiglass. Apple Store 2.0 is the new Apple retail store experience which several retailers are expected to try and copy.
The upgrade comes on the tenth anniversary of the opening of Apple’s first retail store.
An Apple manager said that the new design is aimed at delivering a better customer experience with interactive iPads set to be used to deliver information about Apple products in the new look stores.
The in store iPads contain product information, specifications and comparisons with other devices.
To celebrate, staff in Sydney wore party hats and were pointing staff to the new information source.
