Bang & Olufsen says its new earphones embody comfort, modern design and good sound quality, packaged in a lightweight compact unit that adjusts to the contours and curves of a person’s ear.

They ensure a snug, ergonomic fit; therefore rarely fall off the user, even during physical activity such as jogging or bike riding. These earphones are designed for people on the go, and now the new colours underline the dynamic lifestyle of the user.
“I was looking for pure and bright signal colours,” states Designer Anders Hermansen, “and I found inspiration in the sports world. These are colours for people on the move. They reflect an active lifestyle, but are a fashion statement as well.”
Hermansen, who is also the chief designer of the Bang & Olufsen’s new digital audio master BeoSound 5 (set for release in early 2009), decided that the colours should be strong and uncomplicated. He also decided not to colour the moving aluminium parts as the elegant high-grade aluminium emphasizes and supplements the bright colours adding that mark of distinction and exclusive quality that is a Bang & Olufsen hallmark.
The new A8 Earphones will be available from 2009 in all Bang & Olufsen showrooms in Australia and New Zealand, including the brand new showroom in King Street, Sydney.
