If their last quarter sales are anything to go by D-Link is set to be a major player in the consumer networking market in Australia with the Company announcing several new products at CES which Company executives believe will help the Company accelerate growth in Australia.
Among the new products is a new network video recorder, portable AC router, two simultaneous dual-band AC range extenders and a wireless baby cam.
The DNR-312L mydlink Network Video Recorder with HDMI output follows on the heels of the DNR-202L mydlink Camera Video Recorder announced in November. The new NVR is considerably beefier and supports simultaneous viewing of up to nine HD cameras to an HD display connected to its HDMI port.

It also supports one 3.5″ internal SATA drive (up to 4 TB) for higher storage capacity and better performance. Two USB 2.0 ports allow connection of USB keyboard / mouse, UPS or external storage and a single Gigabit Ethernet port provides LAN connection. Analogue audio in / out ports are also provided.
A new router unveiled by D-Link at CES 2014 includes the DIR-510L Wi-Fi AC750 Portable Router and Charger. Like its predecessor, the DIR-506L SharePort Go, the 510L functions as a AC750 simultaneous dual-band router to share an Ethernet WAN connection via its 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port.
It also can share a wireless connection from Wi-Fi or a supported 3G/4G USB modem and supports wireless storage sharing from an attached USB drive.
The DIR-510L has its own 4000mAh rechargeable battery to power it and power / recharge USB devices plugged into its two USB 2.0 ports. Other features include built-in UPnP / DLNA media server and mydlink SharePort app support.
D-Link has also announced the DAP-1520 Wireless AC750 Dual Band Range Extender and DAP-1650 Wireless AC1200 Dual Band Gigabit Range Extender for ya. Both are pretty much as described, with the latter assuming the cylindrical form-factor D-Link has adopted for most of its line of AC routers.
Rounding out the introductions is the DCS-825L Wi-Fi Baby Camera.

Of particular interest to parents, though, are its temperature sensing, SD card recording and connectivity to D-Link’s Baby Mobile app.
Knowing if the heat or A/C turns off in the middle of the night could be invaluable, and keeping a record of a baby’s activities is home movie footage waiting to happen. The Baby Mobile app also allows parents to share snapshots and videos from the Baby Camera with friends and relatives right from their smartphones or tablets.
For users with an older demographic in mind, mydlink Network Video Recorder might provide what they’re looking for. Aimed at professionals in small and medium businesses, the Network Video Recorder lets users connect up to nine cameras (these are not included, but any camera that connects via the mdlink app should fit the bill) via either HDMI cables or the mydlink app for computers and mobile devices.
This means that the cameras do not have to route through a PC first, and can transfer information either via HDMI cable or Wi-Fi.
The Network Video Recorder also supports up to 4 TB internal storage (not included), which will come in handy when surveying multiple cameras across a large premises. Although the Network Video Recorder is most useful to businesses, it could also benefit users with large houses and multiple cameras across various rooms and yards.
The Baby Camera will release later in January 2014, while the Network Video Recorder will come out in April 2014.
