Nikon is set to announce a new D3200 DSLR which is expected to be sub $1,000.Images of the new DSLR has already started appearing on Japanese web sites.
A close-cropped image of the side of the camera shows off a red hue model , which is similar to the D3100.
The body only will apparently cost 76,300 yen (about $940), with an 18-55mm lens bundled going for 85,300 yen (about $1,060). Finally, a D3200 with both the short lens and a 55-200mm kit lens will go for 107,800 yen in Japan (about $1,325). The WU-1a Wi-Fi module is also in the leak, and will be powered by the camera and not its own battery. As such, it will cost 4,720 yen (about $58).
Both the D3200 and its accessories are expected to be announced later today.
