As Sony struggle to make a profit, arch rival Samsung Electronics has said that they are set to increase capital expenditure to $8 Billion dollars next year.

As Sony struggle to make a profit, arch rival Samsung Electronics has said that they are set to increase capital expenditure to $8 Billion dollars next year. 

The Korean Company is also looking to increase sales of their consumer electronics goods to $145 Billion in 2010 Vs $116 Billion in 2009.

Yesterday as Seven Media was rolling out a new TiVo PVR, Samsung said that they are set to partner with the Nine Network to  launch its own internet-delivered TV service to a new generation of Internet enabled TV that the Company will launch in the first quarter.

The new Samsung content service, will include an upgraded widget management system that allows users to easily access movie and TV program content from YouTube and other download services.
