Optus has refreshed its mobile broadband plans, today unveiling a range of data and streaming inclusions, including data-free Netflix and Presto on some plans.Optus’ new mobile broadband offers provide for Netflix and Presto to be streamed data-free in standard definition on its $35 and $50 per month 24-month plans for an additional $10 per month, with both included data-free in its $70 per month 24-month plan.
Customers will need to pay for their Netflix or Presto subscription on top of this, with mobile TV streaming available with a tablet purchase only.
Meanwhile, Optus is offering data-free music streaming, with iHeartRadio, Spotify, Google Play Music and Pandora included on plans valued at $35 per month and above, which includes SIM-only plans.
Optus’ 24-month plans start from $15 per month for 2 GB of data, through to 25 GB for $50 per month and 50 GB for $70 per month.
“Customers tell us they love sharing data between their devices, but they’re also looking for a plan with an affordable tablet option,” Tim Cowan, Optus head of mobile marketing, commented.
“Thanks to their feedback, we’re adding a range of affordable tablets to our mobile broadband offer.”
