Last year we tipped the unveiling of a slick new mobile phone to come out of a partnership between Porsche Design and Sagem. The handset has finally hit Australian shores.
The new P’9521 combines luxury materials such as mineral glass and a solid aluminium block for the phone’s case – something the companies say is unique.
Featuring an auto-focus video and still camera (with 3.2 megapixel resolution), integrated flash and zoom, the phone is also designed to rotate via a double hinge for easy picture-taking.
As befitting a high-end product, the Porsche phone sports a fingerprint reader for extra security. It also features an MP3 player, three speakers and is EDGE-compatible.
Sagem, the mobile phone company behind the Porsche phone hopes the product will help get its brand-cred up further.
“The Sagem brand is being increasingly respected in Australia, beginning to match that of the European sector. Through the launching the Porsche Design mobile phone, Sagem will continue to be recognised and respected in the Australian market,” said Managing Director, Sagem Australasia Francois Romanet.
