Under pressure in the Smartphone market, Samsung is tipped to have bought forward the release of the Galaxy S6 with insiders tipping a metal body version.
To regain traction Samsung has to pull a unique device out of the bag and what we have heard so far is that the S6 will have a higher resolution than the S5 with a new QHD display tipped, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or 810 chipset and according to some, a flexible body.
Senior Vodafone executives in the UK told SmartHouse this week that Samsung will realease a new S6 early in 2015.
LG is also tipped to launch a new G4 with an even better battery and improved display screen.
The LG G3 already has a 2560 x 1440p QHD display which is the same as the Note 4.
Like Apple, Samsung has become a creature of habit, with the company’s annual product cycles bringing a level of expectation to certain points in the year. For example, September and the Berlin-based IFA conference means a new Note.
Since the Samsung Galaxy S2, the Korean manufacturer’s flagship phone line has been reserved for unveiling during – or within weeks of – the Barcelona-based Mobile Word Congress conference in February. As such there is no reason to believe this will be different for the S6.
