International Dynamics has announced a new line of Schaub Lorenz televisions with the aesthetically pleasing Series 5 LED panels exhibiting improvements in both design and technology.

Schaub Lorenz LED backlighting technology also allows local dimming of dark picture areas. As the LED edge-lit panels naturally allow for slimmer television design, the Schaub Lorenz range is not only more appealing from an aesthetic point of view, but also enables easier and less obstructive placement in the home.
One new feature on the TVs is a PVR Out recording capability to a connected USB device which offers the convenience of timer, one-touch, EPG and time shift recording. The capacity of recordings is limited only by the size of the connected USB memory device.
Access to digital media is obtained through a versatile integrated USB 2.0 Media Player allowing you to watch your videos, listen to audio and view photos through the convenience of the television remote.
Another key technological feature included in the new LED range is discrete IR and RS-232 codes, which increases controllability and allows for versatile integration for custom installers. This enables the TV to be controlled from a single device in situations where the television is part of a whole-house system.
