Sony Australia is set to launch new Vaio notebooks, along with their new thin Vaio X notebook . Insiders are also claiming that the Company will launch a new L Touch, touch screen PC that is also a HD TV.
The new Sony 24″ Vaio has a WUXGA high resolution touchscreen and built in HD tuner. There will also be the option of including a Blu ray player in the PC, a BD rewritable drive will also be made available according to Sony.

Some of the core features include a built-in TV tuner, HDMI input, allowing the unit to connect to a set-top box, or PlayStation3.
The new PC is powered by an Intel Core 2 Quad processor and has built-in 802.11n wireless. Windows 7 Home will come as standard.
The X-series ultra-portable notebook which is designed to take on the Macbook Air is also set to start shipping. Shown a few weeks ago at a Sony event in Sydney the new notebook has a carbon fibre chassis that is 0.55 inches thick; it will be available in gold and black.
It has an LED backlit, scratch-resistant 11.1-inch display. Battery life is 3.5 hours with the standard battery pack and 14 hours with the extended capacity battery.
Other features include onboard 3G mobile broadband and Bluetooth.
The notebook will go on sale in the USA for A$1,499. The same notebook is expected to sell in Australia for over $2,000.
