Sunbeam will debut its 60-second TV commercial during the first episode of MasterChef Series 2 on Monday, 19 April 2010.The company will be investing $5 million in this new campaign, which will see both 60-second and 30-second spots on high rotation during prime time.
“The new campaign draws on the strong emotional connection Australians have with the iconic brand, and features a uniquely Sunbeam version of the famed folk song, You are my Sunshine,” said the company.
Sunbeam’s CEO, David Jackson said, “We have upped the ante with this brilliant new campaign, which highlights just how integral Sunbeam and our products are to people’s lives.”
“We are confident that this new creative, and our association with MasterChef, will invigorate consumer demand for small appliances and drive customers into the stores of our retail partners,” added Jackson.
Sunbeam hopes that this TV commercial will instil the brand to viewers and have them on the top of their minds when they next purchase a small appliance.
