Vodafone has opened doors at its new flagship store in Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall, continuing its nationwide retail expansion.Vodafone’s latest retail store joins the recently opened Microsoft flagship store as new arrivals in the Pitt Street Mall, with Vodafone stating it is “the most high-profile address in the company’s retail network”.
Its opening marks the 60th new store Vodafone has opened over the last 18 months, with Vodafone stating it sports a design that “embodies its world-class retail surroundings”.
“With a glass cube exterior and a simple loft-like interior, the Pitt Street store features a monolithic device table showcasing live devices and boasts a spacious setting for customers to test, try and learn about new devices,” Vodafone states.
Vodafone director of sales Ben McIntosh stated the telco “wanted to create an inviting space for customers to discover, play and experience new smartphones, tablets and wearables”.
“Australia’s love affair for mobile devices is strong and constant, fuelling a retail revival and more job opportunities for Australians,” McIntosh commented.
“Over the last 18 months, our nationwide retail expansion has created 200 new full-time jobs across the country, including 15 new roles at our Pitt Street store.”
Vodafone states that to celebrate the store’s opening it will be offering exclusive postpaid and prepaid deals to Pitt Street customers until December 12.
