Insiders are tipping that three versions of Windows – for x86 clients, for servers and for ARM clients will all be launched at the same time.
Manufacturers are then tipped to launch new hardware products running the new Win 8 in Q2/Q3 2012.
This will be the first time that Microsoft has released a customised tablet version of their OS to go up Android and the Apple iPad OS.
PC makers said that they are looking for breakthrough from Microsoft in order to kick-start the slowing market of personal computers in Australia.
