Uniden has added two new systems to its wireless digital video surveillance line that allows a user to keep a close watch on people or property.

According to Uniden, the UWS 1113 system offers a 3.5 inch wireless video monitor, a portable wireless camera and a weatherproof wireless camera suitable for outdoor use. With a more advanced feature set, the UWS 1117 system is suitable for small businesses and larger properties and features a 7 inch wireless video monitor, a portable wireless camera and a weatherproof wireless camera.
Both cameras offer infrared night vision for around-the-clock protection and can be easily mounted to a wall or ceiling. The portable camera comes with a built in microphone and includes a Lithium-ion rechargeable battery with up to four hours battery life for easy relocation.
The monitors include colour display with a choice of full screen view and auto scan from camera to camera, while the 7-inch monitor adds quad view, enabling vision from four cameras to be viewed simultaneously. Both monitors also offer digital zoom, pan and tilt capability and can be easily connected to a television via standard RCA cables for big screen viewing. Like the portable camera, the monitors offer up to four hours battery life.
Uniden will soon also release a free software upgrade which will allow users to remotely check the monitor from anywhere in the world via the internet.
To be released this month, the UWS 1113 and UWS 1117 systems will be available from leading electrical retailers for $329.95 and $399.95, respectively.
