Following the confirmation that The Frame, the crown jewel in Samsung’s 2017 range, would be coming to Australian retailers (issued back in March), the company have now spoken up about local pricing for the lifestyle TV.
The Frame will be available in two sizes and three color variants from July, with the 55-inch model priced at $3299 while the 65-inch arrives at $4,699.
As explained by Samsung, “The Frame looks like a picture frame hanging on a wall when ‘Art Mode’ is on.
Instead of fading to black like a conventional TV, The Frame’s display transforms into a work of art, letting the users select custom-designed digital art pieces.”
The company say that it’ll come preloaded with more than 100 artworks across 10 categories, including landscape, architecture, wildlife, action, drawing and more.
Additional content is available from the Art Store via a subscription for $5.99 per month per piece, or for a ‘one-off’ purchase fee of $24.99
Consumers will also be able to further customize the frame via a number of accessories, including interchangeable bezels (priced at $299) and an optional Studio Stand (priced at $799).
According to Carl Rose, Samsung Australia’s Vice President of Consumer Electronics “The Frame brings new purpose to the television as it can complement any space, at all times. When it is powered on, The Frame offers a premium entertainment experience that our customers have come to love from Samsung televisions.”
Rose says that “The Frame also reflects Samsung’s vision to integrate design and technology with purpose. In today’s ever-evolving world, consumers are looking for technology that fits seamlessly into their lifestyles and The Frame is the epitome of this.”
The Frame will be available from July, with the RRP starting at $3299 for the 55-inch model and $4699 for the 65-inch display.
